How to Be Creative with Your Giving

At FOCUS Ministries, generosity takes many meaningful forms. Here are a few ways you can creatively partner with us and help women write new stories of hope and restoration:

Invite your church small group to come together to sponsor a specific project at the FOCUS Freedom House. Giving as a group builds community while meeting real, tangible needs.

Celebrate your birthday by turning it into an opportunity to give. A Facebook fundraiser is a simple way to invite friends and family to support the mission in your honor.

Encourage your church to become a monthly supporter. Ongoing giving provides stability and allows us to walk consistently alongside women in every season of their reentry journey.

Teach children the joy of generosity by helping them lead a fundraiser of their own. Recently, two young girls raised funds to purchase Bibles for women behind the walls—reminding us that faithful giving has no age limit.

Every act of generosity, large or small, helps create lasting change.

Other ways to give:

  • Clothing Donations

    We are no longer accepting clothing donations. Instead, we encourage you to donate clothing items to KARM.

    When donating, please provide KARM with our phone number (865-694-3837) and let them know the items are intended for FOCUS Ministries. KARM will then issue gift cards to our ministry, allowing us to purchase clothing in the correct sizes and styles for each resident.

    This approach helps us serve our residents with dignity, choice, and practicality—and ensures your generosity meets real, individual needs.

  • Household Needs at FOCUS Ministries

    We are always in need of household supplies to keep the house running smoothly.

    We love donations of:

    • Toilet paper

    • Paper towels

    • Cleaning supplies

    • Laundry detergent

    • And other everyday household necessities

    These simple items make a big difference in helping us create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the women we serve. Thank you for supporting FOCUS Ministries in such practical ways!

  • Help Us Welcome New Students Home

    At FOCUS Ministries, each woman who enters our program receives a Welcome Home Basket filled with essentials and comfort items to help her settle in on her first day. These baskets are a tangible way to show love, encouragement, and support as our students begin their journey of recovery and reentry.

    We are currently accepting donations of new items for these baskets, including:

    • Personal Care Items: Lotion, shampoo, deodorant, sensitive skin face wash, toothbrush & toothpaste, mouthwash, body wash, lip balm, tweezers, nail clippers, band-aids, hand sanitizer, tampons/pads.

    • Hair & Beauty: Comb, brush, ponytail holders, claw clips.

    • Laundry & Bath: Mesh/plastic laundry basket, detergent (pods or liquid), hangers, bath towels (3), washcloths (5), shower caddy.

    • Daily Needs: Envelopes, stamps, calendar, pens, journal or notebook, planner, tissue, toilet paper.

    • Extras that Encourage: Gum/mints, comfort items (soft blanket, fuzzy socks, etc.), wireless earbuds (Five Below), refillable water bottle, gift cards (Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Arby’s, Wendy’s, Cook Out).

    Every item you donate helps remind our students they are not alone and that their community is cheering them on.
